In February a dead hippo was seen floating in Island dam it had to be removed to avoid contaminating the water.
A few of us gathered to watch and assist. It took 3 vehicles to pull it up the bank.
The cotton soil was wet, and more vehicles were added to the 'train'. She looked eerily alive and well as she was dragged up the bank.
An unusual impala foal - no black metatarsal glands. Have had a look but can't find an explanation. The herd is usually around Impala Lily between boma and Island dams
