“Had some awesome sightings of Leopard on the weekend.

On Friday night we were extremely fortunate to see the mother and her cub, which is about a year old, feeding on a Nyala about 200met south of the Mziki gate just off Boundary rd a couple of meters into the bush.

Then on Saturday we were observing some nervous looking Warthog in the open area on River rd when the
Leopard cub emerged from the thicket and charged the Warthog who then chased the Leopard back into the bush. This went on for about 10 minutes with both Leopard and Warthogs chasing each other.

We did not see the mother but she was located by Luke later on who had visual of both but as she was quite skittish the sighting was changed to one station and we never managed to get back to view them.”

Derryck Myers viewed 4 hyena

These are a first for bushdiaries, thanks a million Derryck

“A great Hyena (4) sighting on Plains road Saturday morning. They were very
active and we followed them for about 1Km past Aloe Drive all the way down
plains rd until they headed off into the thicket and unfortunately lost
them.”

And as if I didn't feel bad enough about missing the hyena -

he saw a mother leopard and cub
